Cash memo and receipt books: copies, binding and numbering

Describe the workflow
Explain who keeps each copy: customer, accounts desk or delivery team. Select single, duplicate or triplicate accordingly. Tell MAKE if you require NCR carbonless paper, and confirm the proposed paper and copying arrangement before ordering.

Count sets, not just sheets
A book described as fifty sets is not the same as fifty individual sheets when each transaction has several copies. State the number of sets per book and number of books. Keep these quantities separate from the number of printed designs. Ask the quote to repeat your interpretation so both sides agree.

Choose size and binding
A5, A4 and half-letter presets are convenient starting points. Measure your existing form if it must fit a file, drawer or holder. Choose whether sheets stay bound, tear out from a pad or need perforation. Confirm which copy remains in the book and which copies leave with the customer.

Specify colours and numbering
List the paper colour of each copy in order and the print colour separately. Give the first number, any prefix, the number format and whether numbering continues across books. State whether each copy of a set must carry the same reference. Put unusual requirements in the notes.

Approve the form at actual size
Check the writing space, totals, signature fields and business details. Read the proof in the units you entered; the bag preserves that preference. Pricing is based on the complete form specification and book quantity, not simply the displayed paper area. Confirm the current quote and delivery before payment.
