MAKE JOURNAL
Your first product label: a printing checklist
Choose the size, surface, material and finish before a label run.

A dry paper box and a chilled bottle have different label requirements. Describe the surface and how the product will be stored and handled.
Measure the usable space on the actual package. Share the finished dimensions, shape, number of designs and quantities per design. Specify individual pieces or sheets.
Paper stickers, white vinyl and clear vinyl create different looks. Do not assume every sticker is waterproof or suitable for food contact. Confirm material compatibility and consider a sample before a larger run.
Check spelling, contact details, contrast and cutting outlines on the proof. The business owner remains responsible for required label information. A clear brief helps MAKE prepare a relevant quote.
